Sheraton Stockholm Hotel
Photographing the Transformation of an Icon
Few hotels have played such a significant role in Stockholm's hospitality scene as Sheraton Stockholm. Following an extensive renovation, the hotel entered a new chapter—one that called for imagery capable of reflecting both its renewed identity and the timeless elegance that has made it a landmark for decades.
As a Marriott Approved Photographer, I was commissioned to create the hotel's new visual library, documenting everything from the refined guest rooms and public spaces to the exclusive Presidential Suite. The objective was not simply to showcase beautiful interiors, but to create photographs that communicate atmosphere, craftsmanship and the experience of staying at the property.
Luxury hospitality photography is about much more than architecture. It is about understanding how light moves through a space, how materials interact, and how every detail contributes to the guest experience. Every image was carefully composed to balance precision with emotion, allowing future guests to imagine themselves within the hotel before they even arrive.
Working closely with the Sheraton team, the project resulted in a comprehensive collection of imagery now used across marketing, digital platforms and brand communications.
For me, this assignment represented more than documenting a renovation—it was about helping one of Stockholm's most recognised hotels present its next chapter through authentic, elegant visual storytelling.
