People often ask me what my favorite restaurant is because they know I'm working with food and so on, and I'm always confused about what to answer.
I make a quick check in my head and finally I realize that I actually do not know!
I have eaten at a lot of restaurants and many of them are really amazing, both taste-wise and service-wise when it comes to the staff.
So the answer to this always becomes when someone asks, I do not know.
Much because of the fact that I like so many different types of kitchens, I would have to choose a restaurant in each kitchen and not even I could do that I think.. haha.
The only thing I can say with certainty and which I usually use when I get this question is that the biggest food experience I have ever had in life is when we traveled to South Korea 2010 and I tried Korean Barbecue for the first time.
Korean Barbecue is when you sit around a table with a grill built into the table in the middle where you grill meat and vegetables, then you have several different accessories for this such as sauces and pickled stuff, etc.
All these little accessories are finally added to a salad leaf, which then is folded together and pushed into the mouth simply! :)
That experience is something I will never forget.
The flavors were brand new, the composition of the flavors was absolutely amazing, you got just the right amount of full, yes, everything was just right simply.
If you haven't tested this yet, DO IT.
I have not found any place here in Sweden that is 100% authentic, but close enough is actually the restaurant Nam Kang at Östermalm in Stockholm.
Try it this weekend!
If you're not on vacation that is, haha. But then you maybe are in South Korea! If so, go to a place that has barbecue ;)
